IGC 2000
INTEGRATED GENERATION CONTROLLER

IGC 2000 Description

The IGC 2000 integrates all the power plant control functions into a single micro-processor based controller. Pre-engineered and pre-programmed, the IGC 2000 is a standardized, off-the-shelf power plant controller. The controller is programmed at the factory and comes with a floppy disk that turns any IBM PC or compatible into an operating terminal for the power plant or the configuring system for the IGC 2000. User-friendly software guides the power plant owner or his start-up engineer through a configuring process that, when completed, tailors the standard IGC 2000 Francis turbine controller to a specific power plant. The configuration process can take as little as two or three hours. If you don't get it exactly right the first time or if you need to make changes at some later date, the system is easily re-configured.

The IGC 2000 includes manual control panels that bypass the microprocessor. This manual capability eases the start-up process, facilitates maintenance and provides a last ditch method of operating the plant.
The IGC 2000 not only replaces many separate components normally used in the power plant, it improves on those components. For example, synchronizing with the IGC 2000 is much more accurate, quicker and smoother than with a separate governor and synchronizer.
The IGC 2000 replaces power plant black boxes with tested and field proven firmware which is extremely reliable.
